Robert Whitney
Robert Whitney, like an age-old, trusted
lighthouse, guided people home from 1980-2018.
It was only natural this admirable trait defined his career, because it was
apparent in just about everything he did, be it work or play. Robert was an
extremely active dad. He relished
coaching his children and their peers in fast pitch softball. Whether he was
coaching softball or counseling a young person as a Past Master of the Masons,
an age-old fraternal organization - that was just Robert. Generosity is often
characteristic of guidance and helping others in need was second nature to him
Robert Whitney was a lifetime San Pedro, CA resident, had over 38 years of experience, and a proven track record making Team Whitney the safe, smart choice, when it comes to choosing a real estate team. His longevity in the area and in the real estate industry, solid systems, and around-the-clock current information on listings and properties prove why he was the leader of one of the top Keller Williams real estate teams in the South Bay area. Robert’s daughter, Danielle, began working with him in 2005. She spent 13 years under the tutelage of her father, and Robert knew she would excel carrying on his real estate legacy to newer heights.
Robert Whitney was certified as a National Mortgage Forgiveness Plan Specialist (NMFP), Certified Default Resolution Specialist (CDRS), Certified Foreclosure Prevention Specialist (CFPS), REO Default Certified Professional (RDCPro), Certified Default Advocate Trained (CDAT), and Realtor e-Pro. This level of education is like having a Ph.D in real estate. He had been inducted into The Ephebian Society, had been a member of the Long Beach Investment and Exchange group, and was certified from LA Harbor College with a Certificate for Tax Aspects of Real Estate Transactions and Investment Qualifications. He also attended Tom Hopkins International receiving top Honors, was involved in the Realtors’ National Marketing Institute, was an active member of the National Association of Realtors, was involved in the ULI-Urban Land Institute, was involved in the California Tax Reduction Movement, was an active member of the San Pedro Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, was an active member of the California Association of Realtors, and Robert Whitney was a past Master of the Los Angeles Harbor Masonic Lodge #332 of Free and Accepted Masons.
Robert passed away in June of 2018. Robert's light continues to shine through the mission, vision, and values of Team Whitney and whether you simply have a question, or you are ready to make a move, Team Whitney is here to help light the way to Guiding You Home.
