At the great majority of our events, a local charity or organization is highlighted and items are collected and/or donations are raised.

Estate Planning and Insurance Workshop
To a certain extent it is impossible to be prepared for the loss of a loved one. It is a time of overwhelming emotions. It becomes even more difficult if your loved one has to make decisions based on what they think you may have wanted rather than legal written documentation directing your personal wishes. It can break up the best of families. An estate plan isn't just how to handle your assets - it's how to handle major decisions. As none of us know when we are going to become incapacitated or die unexpectedly, estate planning is important at any age over 18. It is not just for the elderly. Also, Estate Plans should be reviewed and updated as circumstances change during your lifetime, including tax laws.
We now know we could have been more prepared after experiencing first hand the long term illness and death of a loved one, Danielle's father and founder of Team Whitney, Robert Whitney. Medical decisions, financial obligations, passwords, autopays, car titles, tax liabilities, bank accounts, etc. are a lot to work through at a time of grieving.

Maria's Closet Dress Drive
Maria’s Closet is dedicated to promoting confidence and a positive self-image for young women within our community by helping high school girls attend their prom who would not ordinarily be able to finance the experience on their own. Team Whitney does a yearly dress drive to collect prom dresses for this organization that dresses hundreds of young high school women each year.
